Brenda Aguirre of the Children's Action Alliance presents a "brown bag lunch" training designed to provide individuals with tools to effectively advocate for issues important to their community. The focus will be on advocacy for children's issues. During this training you will learn: How to contact and communicate with your elected officials; How to be an effective community advocate; and about the state's legislative and budget processes. Ideal for parents, teachers, grandparents, anyone interested in helping children. Lunch is BYO.
