Despite the spread of cities, suburbs and housing developments, there are still horsebacked riders roaming the countryside. Even so, it's fair to say that the land available for such activities is rapidly dwindling.

Enter the Novato Horsemen. This organization was formed in 1939 for the advocacy and protection of horseback riding land and activities. One of the last remaining active horse clubs in Marin County, Novato Horsemen, Inc. keeps Marin's horse heritage alive for future generations through horsemanship education and club-sponsored events.

Membership and events are open to everyone--horse owner, rider or not.
