This three part training/workshop series will explore the joys and challenges of mentoring youth, particularly in the transition to adolescence. The first part will be a look into the 40 Developmental Assets and how we can bring these into the mentoring relationship. Second, we'll have a great workshop from the folks at Sacramento Youth Development Network entitled "Vantage Points" which focuses on the diverse and changing culture of youth. The last in the series will be an evening with noted youth psychologist Dr. Marcia Rennie who will explain a little about the ins and outs of the transition to adolescence. All events are free, informative, and entertaining! Delicious food will be prepared by the students of the Stonehouse Academy. Come join us to meet and mingle with other mentors and staff!
