It's weird giving McDonalds 4 stars
but...
Okay the Know-It-All-Hipsters can slam McDonalds all they want. But Fast Food is like cigarettes: I know it will shorten my life, but I'd rather live 60 fun and pleasurable years, instead of 90 bland, tofu filled years.
Anywho, I head they closed this McDonalds recently. I've spent some time at NASA and it was always an oddity that a McDonalds was on base. I was addicted to soft serve cones and large fries, but damn was it tasty!

You humans got close in the 1970s with the episode of "In Search Of" where cattle mutilations were linked to alien activity. You ever wonder why McDonalds beef is so inexpensive? Alien technology! Anyway, I heard they closed this NASA staple. Bummer. Luckily I'm in the Clear...

It's sad to see it go
I worked at Moffett Field in the early 2000s and the on-base McDonalds was a great place to walk to and forget you were on a military base.
The prices were fixed too. A Big Mac Combo Meal was $2.99 with no sales tax since it is on Federal, rather than State land.
It was also near the Officer's Canteen and a heavily discounted Military Family Grocery Store. You had to show a military ID to get the discount, but it was fun just dropping in and seeing loaves of bread and cartons of eggs only costing 99 cents.
