The Bay Area Game Jam will take place at Microsoft's Silicon Valley Campus on April 4th and 5th. The event is hosted by Wild Pockets and Crispy Gamer and sponsored by Microsoft.
The Bay Area Game Jam is a place for developers to come together and compete to see who can create the best game in a 24 hour period using the new, free, Wild Pockets 3D web-based game engine.
At the end of the event teams can submit their games for judging by a panel of industry experts. The top 3 teams will be selected and take home a variety of prizes. The grand prize winning team will receive $2,500 cash as well as publication, distribution and promotion of their game on the Crispy Gamer website.
Crispy Gamer is an independent game review site and online community with a fresh perspective for gamers, and has a growing audience of over 1M unique visitors/month
There will be more than coding at the Bay Area game Jam - the event will also have free food, a rock band tournament on the main stage Saturday night, industry speakers, recruiters from top companies, tips and tricks for creating and monetizing your games, giveaways, networking, PR coverage and much more!!
