Take the Stage Long Beach offers performance technique classes for children ages 5-15. Emphasis is on developing a child’s understanding and mastery of the art and craft of acting.

The fall sessions of Take the Stage for older kids offer an 8-week study focused on "Creating Characters," which allows for exploration of improvisation, scene study, and age-appropriate analysis of human behavior, and a special 3-week intensive focusing on "Scenes with Swords." Classes for 5-7 year old students focus on creative play, improv games, and rhythm and movement.
