Local artist Vija G. Mendelson presents a series of original photocollages that showcase the unique character of Austin's streets. Using colorful signs from some of our city's most well-known thoroughfares, including Congress, Guadalupe and Lamar, she explores intersections of words and images. Mendelson's work has recently been featured on the "Art is Moving" blog (May 4th entry), and hangs in local businesses around town. Opening Reception: June 12th, 6-8 pm.
