York Junior Symphony Orchestra - Spring Concert

Established in 1967, the York Junior Symphony Orchestra (YJSO) is comprised of full string, woodwind, brass and percussion sections. Members are accepted through audition and come from schools all around York County and Northern Maryland, as well as home-schooled students in grades five through eight. Under the direction of Kathleen Yeater, the YJSO has performed in Boston, Philadelphia and the Kennedy Center and has won numerous first-place awards in regional orchestra competitions.
