I had got a gift certificate from Restaurants dot com $100 off $200. It was my Aunts 50th Birthday and was so excited we could go somewhere nice and different. I was sadly mistaken. My Aunt had arrived before I did and she told me when they walked in the door the waitress pointed to our table and said "theres your table" what happened to bringing your customers over to the table? Thats just the beginning. We ordered appetizers that took a very long time to come out even my husband was complaining and he's a very go with the flow kind of guy. The whole time we were there the waitress barely spoke to us unless she was getting our order. She handed us our plates instead of placing them on the table. She never thanked us for taking the plates or handing them to her when we were done. It took more than an hour after we ordered to get our food. I had my two girls with me 7 and 2. They were getting a little inpatience as were the adults. We were there for over 2 hours and not one person walked in that door for dinner. That should have told you something. I figured were only paying around $100 not including tax or drink because of the $100 off gift certicate. HA. After the rudeness of the waitress and the long wait for the tastless food the bill came. It was $207.00. Now before that our bill was $160.00 so we ordered stuff to go so we could make the $200 to save the $100. It makes sense right? Well the $207.00 was what we had to pay. She said the bill was $307.00. I told her the whole point we got stuff to go was so we could save the $100.00 she said ya taxes $12 and some change and 20% gratitudy $51.00 tip. Thats right $51.00 tip for crappy service and crappy food. I didnt even bring that much money with me. I was so embarrased that I couldn't even take my aunts portion of the money. And to top it off we all waited by the door for the food that we ordered to go. The "cook" came out and said to us "I know you guys want to leave so I didnt finish cooking the pork chop be sure to cook it the rest of the way before you eat it". I'm not lying. He gave us a half cooked pork chop. It's better the manager was there and never showed his face and trust me he knew we were upset. I'm reporting this place. If you got gift certicates its not even worth it. I wouldn't give them to anyone I cared about.

Terrible food. Bland, tasteless, and when called out on this the staff stood by their "meal" and offered no kind of cusotmer satisfaction and charged 100% of the bill. I actually returned the whole meal. If I had a dog I wouldn't have taken the food for it. A waste of time and money. Do not make the mistake I did, go anywhere else and you'll salvage your evening.

I don't normally write negative reviews. Any restaurant can have an off night. But this was hands down one of the worst meals I have ever had. I had some early misgivings when we walked into an empty restaurant, just a half-block away from the always overflowing Sole Proprietor, Boynton, and Sahara. The ambiance was laughable, just a bunch of tv's. But as we had a restaurant.com gift certificate, we decided to give it a try. Absolutely everything we ordered was a disappointment. Fried mac & cheese was overcooked, and came to the table a crusty, unattractive dark brown color, obviously overdone. My shrimp avocado salad, supposedly served in an avocado shell, came drowned in a tasteless creamy dressing, apparently to hide the lack of avocado. Were they out of avocados? I should have been told. I'd have preferred to order something else. Our main courses, pasta and surf and turf, were bland, tough (steak), and undercooked (shrimp). Even the plain cheese pizza that we took home for the kids was burned and inedible. It went right into the trash. With a glass of wine and cola, the bill came to $80. A pricey dump. This place is unacceptable, especially on a street where you can get great food and ambiance just a few feet away.
