Jazz in the Sanctuary: An Evening of Song with Eula Lawrence
An evening of jazz classics starring vocalist Eula Lawrence, whose singing career spans more than 35 years and who has been hailed as Boston’s “First Lady of Song.” Born in Alabama, Eula Lawrence moved to Boston in her early 20s and quickly established herself on the city’s jazz scene and at jazz festivals here and abroad. Accompanying Ms. Lawrence will be a jazz quartet with Greg Hopkins on trumpet, Yoron Israel on drums, John Kramer on piano, and Mark Pucci on bass.

Eula Lawrence has performed in virtually every jazz club in the Boston area. Her repertoire extends from the luscious to the funky. She sings romantic songs “starting from deep inside and soaring through memory until coming to rest in the heart.”
