Black River Kayaking: Birding and Fauna Adventure

The Black River is a paddling destination and one of the most beautiful rivers in North Carolina. Many wildlife species inhabit this floodplain, including turkey, deer, river otter, great blue herons, barred owls, pileated woodpeckers, and more. This event will include kayak instruction, birding and fauna education and all equipment. Participants will need transportation to the river and a bag lunch to enjoy during a picnic on one of the sand bars. Kayak novices welcome on this excursion.
