The Call of the Once-Wild: Winslow Homer and the Adirondacks 1870-1910
Scholar David Tatham, Professor Emeritus, Syracuse University, will speak on Winslow Homer's four-decade association with the Adirondacks.
This lecture examines Homer’s Adirondack works in the Clark collection, which include the paintings Two Guides, Playing a Fish, and the rarely seen watercolor An October Day. Dr. Tatham will also speak about Homer’s Adirondack works in other collections.
