What a great restaurant and lounge

Antipasti Restaurant and Wine Bar was a great experience. I was amazed by the appearance and the size of both the Lounge and the Restaurant. Once I entered I was given a warm well come from the lovely hostesses and I felt so much energy from the European Lounge Music that was playing. The wine cork picture frames/collections inspired me to start my own. Although I was confused when seeing a Sushi bar, when I got closer, I saw all the Antipasti and Salumera. The Patron Margarita Rosa Martini was the best tasting and looking Margarita I've ever had. The bartenders had so much spunk and personality, no matter how busy they were. They greeted us with arms wide open and served our party of 8 drinks so fast. After having our cocktails at the lounge, we entered a large and beautiful dining room. It was such a different feeling then the lounge. It was a warm and comfortable feeling that was full of happy people. When we sat, we were greeted by management and introduced to our server who was very knowledgeable with the wine menu and the dinner menu. The wine list was affordable, and I noticed a few exotic wines, but very nice. Our dinner started with a Buratta Mozzarella imported from Italy and assortment of antipasti. We then all ordered individual appetizers, which the presentation was beautiful. I personally had the scallops which I will have again when I go back. It was cooked perfectly. My wife had the cream of corn soap which was so good I wanted to order that as well. We then shared the Insalata Della Casa that was dressed to perfection. The Entrees were beautiful as well. My wife had the Grilled Bronzino with a nice glass of Vermintino Wine. I tried it, and it was really good. I had the Filet Mignon special with a gorgonzola crust that was cooked at the proper temperature and oven roasted rosemary potatoes that were like my grandmas. The desert sampler was so Italian with a modern flare that I had to try, WOW. I eat out allot, and this is my first time at Antipasti. I found my favorite restaurant in White Plains, maybe even Westchester, and it's very affordable. I expected it to be like 42 price wise, NOT. The people that complain are the ones with the coupons. I can’t wait for the weather to break so I can dine in the patio. I definitely recommend it to you. I’m also considering on having my son’s Christening there.

Two weeks ago I met up with some old friends from high school @ AntiPasti. We sat in the lounge area and were served by a lovely young lady named Paula. There was a band playing mix of Bob Marley, Ne-Yo, Evanesence and more. We were blown away by the wine and cheese and pleasantly surprised by the choice of entertainment. Overall the evening was excellent (and didn't put a huge dent in my bank account!!) I will definately be back AntiPasti. Thank you for such a great night!!!

Best experience

I now frequent Antipasti. Not only is the food amazing but the experience was refreshing. By far the best restuarant in whiteplains.

The ambiance, the decor, the kind and smart staff, the fantastic-great-superb-world class-to-die-for food....these are the least of what makes this place GREAT!

FINALLY!!! Westchester has a terrific restaurant where one can forget about the troubles of the day, sit back, relax and slip into a silky MARTINI for starters. (And they KNOW THEIR STUFF AT THAT BAR).

For those with discerning taste buds and a hearty appetite for a GREAT RELAXING AND FUN TIME, Do not miss Antipasti.

Beyond high expectations

I've been living in White Plains for over 22 years, and I have now have a new favorite spot to dine locally. The atmosphere upon entering is both welcoming, and awe inspiring. Wonderfully laid out, the perfect sized bar encompasses the right side of the lobby, parallel to the anti pasti bar. I spent at least 10 minutes just soaking in the enviroment while I sipped a superb Icetini. When I sat at my table, I was immediately greeted by my waiter, and was skimming over a beautiful leather bound wine list. My waiter suggested the catch of the day, which was a thick cut swordfish. It was the most flavorful, and perfectly grilled piece of fish I have ever tasted. My wife had a ceaser salad, and a rustic rigatoni pasta dish. The waiter raved about adding meatballs (beef, pork and veal yum!) and he couldn't of been more spot on. We finished off the meal with a little chocolate hazelnut gelato, and I couldn't of been happier. The bill came, and My friends went on a buisness dinner here a few weeks ago, and they raved about it. If I had known it was this good I would of made myself a regular already! Between the food, the ambiance, the service and the juices it was just all around great. Definitely worth a dinner for something new.

White Plains finest!

I have been a resident of White Plains for almost a decade now, and I have yet to step foot into a restaurant as spectacular as Antipasti. Last weekend a few of my girlfriends and I decided to follow up on the hype from our office (everyone’s talking about this place)! When we got there the bar was hopping so we decided to grab a table on the patio for cocktails. My first recommendation: get the Mojito! (I haven’t had a good Mojito in a restaurant in a while, but someone obviously trained these bartenders very well)! When we got into the dining room for dinner my breath was taken away by the décor. To sum it up in one word- bellissimo! We decided to share some antipasti (of course)…crispy zucchini, eggplant rollatini and oven roasted tomatoes, all were equally amazing. I recommend that everyone indulge in this “family style” delight. The hardest part is choosing which tid-bits to order when everything looks so tempting! For dinner I had the Veal Osso Bucco. It was prepared to perfection, so tender I didn’t even need to use my knife. All of our dinners were plated beautifully, like edible works of art. My only regret is that we didn’t save much room for dessert. The girls and I split a chocolate hazelnut concoction for dessert, and as I anticipated, it was delicious. In addition to our meals, the service was as good as the food. I can’t wait to return so that I may enjoy more of Antipasti’s extensive menu. My last recommendation for those of you thinking about venturing out to this outstanding restaurant…save room for dessert!

Antipasti is an absolutely fabulous Italian Restaurant located right in an exclusive area of White Plains. The restaurant is uniquely designed, blending upscale Manhattan with a villa in the hills of Italy. The atmosphere consists of pleasant guests and a highly talented staff. All of my questions on this extensive menu were answered in full detail by the knowledgable wait staff. The food is made from fresh organic ingredients (which is a plus) and they even purchase some products from the local farmers market!!! Not only do they have the nicest outside patio for dining in White Plains, but they also have the most modern and largest lounge!!! They also have a private dining room for events that resembles a wine cellar, which I find quite sophisticated. My friends and I frequent Antipasti and I have yet to find one problem with the service or food. Finally, we have a great Italian restaurant in White Plains which was much needed. :)

I recently dined at Antipasti in White Plains with my wife and let me just say this... OUTSTANDING, from the time we arrived until the minute we walked out the door.

The food: We started out with a Burratta - a mound of Fresh Mozzarella served with roasted tomato and smoked proscuitto, the waiter, who was just as outstanding as the food mentioned that it is flown in from Italy every other day - talk about fresh!

For our entree I had the Braised Veal Shank and my wife the Grilled Bronzino both to die for. At this point we were a little stuffed but opted for dessert due to our waiter peaking our interest with the dessert sampler and the dessert tasting followed by some Moscato.

Overall the experience was tremendous and plan on making Antipasti our regular Thursday Night hangout - as there is also a jazz trio that truly set the mood for the evening.

I suggest you make reservations, the place is becoming extremely popular.

Simply The Best Italian Restaurat West of Italy!

We travel extensively to Italy and when we come back home its hard to eat out after having the best food in the World. In Italy everything is organic, fresh and made to order. Well save your Euros and the airfare to Italia...ANTIPASTI of White Plains....is the next best thing to making the 3000 mile Trip!

They have the most authentic Italian, fresh, creative cuisine in the New York area. We enjoyed their fantastic antipasti bar, raw bar and the creative cuisine of Chef Rick Laakkonen. Not Only does the chef prepare wonderful antipasti, pasta and entree but he's also a world famous pastry chef.

The décor alone will make you feel you're in Italy. We loved the ambiance, with the low lighting, antique wine bottle openers and the colorful Italian artwork was outstanding. The Owners Joseph & Mark Mazzotta have created a culinary gem in downtown White Plains. Bravo and Mangia Italia at Antipasiti!

I have been looking for a place in Westchester that I could go and have dinner as well as drinks afterwards. The food was great and the Martinis made my mouth tingle. We went there with a large party and had so much fun. Westchester has been waiting and also needing a place like Antipasti.

A great change of Pace!

I was absolutly amazed with the level of quality in fine dining outside of the New York City market...as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with friendly smiles by the host staff that included a maitre'D who was so nice and made me and my wife feel like we had known him for years! He took us on a quick tour of the restaurant, which included a wonderful antipasto bar with cheese and meats from regions high and low of the italian peninsula. We arrived just in time for happy hour and I was surprised to see such a full crowd at the bar area for a wednesday night. We ate free pizza and pannini bites while we drank wine, then went to the dining room to eat dinner...the food was so good, I came home and googled the chef (Rick Laakonen) and saw he was a very well established chef with international experiance and flavor...def. making this a stop for happy hour after work at least once a week...and def try the snapper...the sauce was to die for!

Last night, a friend and I decided to visit Antipasti for dinner. We were informed that the dining room was full (be advised to make a reservation!) but the maitre'd cheerfully invited us to enjoy a complete dinner in the lounge. The lounge was also very busy, but we were offered seats at the antipasti bar and received full service: dinner menus, wine list, and attentive waiter. We started the meal with antipasti: house cured meats and buratta mozzarella. My server then recommended that I try the Zuppa de Pesce and I was rewarded with a savory entree of lobster, scallops, mussels, shrimp, clams, calamari, and anglerfish (whew!). I had an excellent experience and intend to frequent Antipasti.

If you are looking for a classy fine dining experience to impress friends or business relations, I recommend that you make a reservation at Antipasti, White PLains. The establishment is chic and polished with an impressive wine list (accompanied by a house Sommelier) and a beautifully displayed and equally delicious antipasti bar. Five Stars for quality and sophistication!

Great restaurant in White Plains

My husband and I had a great evening. Its nice to have such a great restaurant so close to home. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the place was very cozy.

Jan 28, 2008 - laura814

The food and the service was fantastic. The wine selection was great, I could barely decide on a bottle. The selection of "anti pasti" is something I have never seen before. My favorite was the Prosciutto in a thin pastry with roasted tomatoes and ricotta! I can not wait to go back to try more of the menu!!

The next best thing to being in Italy! Antipasti is Fabulous!

The next best thing to being in Italy! Antipasti is Fabulous! We go to Italy almost every year and what impresses us is the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Well, save the plane fare and go to Antipasti in White Plains. The place is gorgeous with a Manhattan style bar area and something that the Westchester area is missing… a fantastic Antipasti Bar with fresh vegetables, caponata, salumi and cheeses and more. They’ve done their home work making sure that every thing is authentic. They have a refrigerated salumi and cheese room right next to the antipasti bar. The dining room is set with elegant china and flatware and the Italian artwork makes you feel that you are in one of the best restaurants in Italy. Well, forget the plane ride to Italia. With the Euro close to $1.50, we’re staying here and enjoying the great food right here in the old USA… and close by in White Plains. Mangia Italia!

Antipasti Retaurant, White Plains NY

First, let me say that when I walked through the door of this place, I felt "transported."

I immediately forgot about all my troubles and was focussed on the GREAT FOOD, GREAT WINES, fantastic "ITALIAN-STYLE" sushi bar (how cool?) and the ROCK'N *&^% Bar??

The staff seems quite knowledgeable for such a young restaurant and the service was comparable to that of many of the NYC places that I go to (and Antipasti, although seemingly expensive for Westchester) is a FAR greater value than NYC -and without the traffic.

For HEAVENS SAKES, they parked my car for me.

I'm just so pleased and happy that we FINALLY have a GREAT PLACE to go.

I just want to go there every week and spend my pay check.

And fellas, the CHICKS that come into this place>>>>>well, this is a family site after all.

That's all folks.

ENJOY ANTIPASTI and good luck to the folks there.

I have a passion for wine and recently visited Antipasti to see what all the buzz is about. Finally, I do not have to journey into the city or travel to Europe to have a real wine bar at my finger tips. They are fanatical about serving wine in the proper style: great stemware, very fresh and right temperature. The owners really did their homework-- they have a huge wine cellar in the lounge area, displaying all of the precious juice. I enjoyed a flight of Italian wines from Piedmont with a vertical of cheese from same>>which was served on a rustic board with jams & dried fruits. The wines by the glass are served in Quartino's, another true wine bar element. Next time, I think I'll try the sophisticated dinning room for a fine dinner.

Lived up to it's reputation

Antipasti was indeed beautiful in every aspect. It exuded N.Y.C cool & trendy vibe. The menu was varied & catered for every taste. The service was prompt & friendly. Yet, no one hovered to hasten us. We truly enjoyed this special evening. Kudos to Antipasti of White Plains.

After all the HYPE and the busy holiday season; now that we're in a new year-I thoght that it was time to try ANTIPASTI. I went over with 4-co workers and had an awesome experience. The perfect place to go to after work to unwind (great happy hour). We decided to explore the antipasto bar selections, their Wine director-assisted us and suggested great pairings of wines. I will definetly go back for dinner, the dining room was buzzing with a corporate/professional complexity.

My wife and I went to Antipasti by chance. We were expecting a small wine and antipasti bar. When we first walked in the doors we were amazed by the size of the wine room! The antipasti bar was bountiful in its presentation as well as flavors. There was a surprise around every corner, from the length of the bar, to the clear glass cheese room to the grand upper level dining room. A definite new favorite restaurant for my wife and I.

Great place to frequent

I visited Antipasti after work one night with my girlfriends. We stopped in to check it out and were blown away!! We felt as if we had stepped into a lounge into Midtown Manhattan. The choices of wines by the glass were unbelievable. The antipasti selections were delicious as well. We felt very comfortable as to not having to worry about being harassed or picked up. Westchester has very few places that come along with that worry. I would highly recommend to all my friends.

Finally a restaurant in the heart of White Plains that offers the food, ambience and service that mirrors manhattan. I will no longer have to drive into the city. The food is unbelievable, the atmosphere is warm, inviting and trendy. the service was great.

I have been at the brand new Antipasti in White Plains more than once. The restaurant is drop dead gorgeous.
The staff could not have been nicer, more professional and accomodating. The food was delicious. I was a big fan of the River Cafe, that chef is now at Antipasti. Highly recommended for a great dining out experience.

Unexpected pricing for area.It seems every restaraunt is in a "RITZ-CARLTON MODE"

bad in every aspect

I had high hopes for them after viewing the menu but was incredibly disappointed with the food, service and decor. The food was bland and dry with both my dish and my friend's. Once it got busy we did not see our server for quite a while and observed lack of service for other tables as well. I felt staff was unseasoned and unprofessional. They all looked as though they were running around with their heads cut off. Anyone who believes it is a good restaurant does not know what he/she is talking about.

Antipasti: "people you dont want to be around"

These HOT tempered NUT JOBS, are NOT the type of people I would ever allow my family come within 100 ft. off.Shady people & the owners were yelling & shouting at one of the workers( like he was jacked up on the stuff) NEVER WILL WE GO BACK :
A bunch of LOW LEVEL wana be TUFF GUYS :

Anti pasti not worth the trouble

I ate at Anti pasti two weeks ago and found the portions way too small and was hungry afterwards. Food was also overpriced. A glass of wine cost me $14!!!The wait staff was inexperienced and it was trying to be too manhattan like. North Broadway is a real neighborhood and Papparazzi's was much better food, reasonably priced and had a warm family atmosphere where Loretta used to greet everyone with a big smile. From the moment I walked into the place it had a cool vibe and the staff looked more like coctail waitresses in a night club. Wish Papparazzi's was back I won't be returning here.

Antipasti White Plains, NY

I must say I was invited to their Grand Opening and had a great time. The atmosphere is elegant, has a sleek loungy feel with just a touch of Italy. That evening they served a five course dinner. From the wine all the way to desert was exceptional. The bar offers a sexy yet classic atmosphere. Although, it may be a little on the pricy side, it's a wonderful place to go for cocktails after a long day/week or before having dinner. If I had to change anything, it would be the staff...much to young and immature. The envirnment calls for mid age mature adults that could handle the crowd it draws. Will definitely return again.

I had the oportunity to have dinner at Antipasti in White Plains, and what a dissapointment it was, I don't mind been pricey when the portions are fairly ok, I had the filet mignon, besides of being cold, I don't think it was more than a quater of a pount, the appetizer couldn't feed a 5 pound cat, and the dessert got lost in my plate, after all the total bill for 2 people with 3 glasses of cheap Merlot came out to 201.50 with the tip,3.00 tip to the coat checking girl, and 5.00 to the valet parker. It's not the money, but I had to stop by a deli and get a sandwich after I got out of there. Nice ambience, nice decor, great service, but the food stinks.
I got 1 slice of bread with 2 drops of olive oil.

Give it a break

I'm very upset with some of the reviews. I've been to AntiPasti few times and I love it. Are they a little "rough" yeah sure but they've been open for 2 weeks!!! Loved the thin crust pizza and the bar atmosphere was great. The bartenders were utmost pleasant and accommodating. Enjoyed the selections from the AntiPasti Bar. Perhaps the pricing is a little too high but definitely worth it. Management did seem a little to attentive but thats better then no attention from the top at all. Definitively a spot for wine and cheese lovers. And by the way although wine might seem more costly than usual, remember they're pouring by "quartinos" thus you get about 2.5oz more.

Smoke and Mirrors

I was invited by some frinds during opening week. As I just pulled up to valet my car I see one of the owners chasing the security guy from the garage ready to choke him. No appeal to White Plains. It is a classless place, decor is inviting.
Would never go back.
Here is what I found after seeing their circus crew is associated with Buddha Bar.

Complete knock-off of Tao but with food not as good as PF Changs. I have to admit we weren't expecting much from this over-hyped place, but when I had my birthday there with my wife and two other couples a few weeks back I was actually THREATENED and escorted out by 4 bouncers when we told the manager that we didn't feel our completely rude server had earned anywhere close to the (undisclosed) mandatory 20% gratuity they added to our bill. (Literally as soon as we sat down - before ordering drinks - our charming server told us we needed to order quickly because there was a wait... this after reserving a month ahead!) Now I'm sure you're thinking - 'this guy must get in brawls all the time - he probably seemed dangerous'... but no - I actually was calm, sober and, well, I'm a 5' 7" children's toy designer... so I was a little surprised when the manager had a massive 6'5" guy warn me to not disrespect the manager - 4 inches from my face - and was then told by the manager that we were lucky to be there and that they didn't care if we thought they had awful service. "Look outside" he said "We've got a line of people waiting to take your table." No exaggeration. He said this exactly. Go if you want to - but you've been warned... And the food REALLY wasn't good.

Pros: The Big Buddha is cool... look at it and leave

Cons: Can't fit it all here... service, threat of bodily harm, food, price

Superb Food & Outstanding Service

The location of the old Paparazzi. The new interior design is exquisite and very elaborate. Money was not an issue here.
As you walk in, you are greeted by 2 bars - a beverage bar on your right and an antipasto bar on your left. The antipasto bar had a neverending assortment of cheeses, meats, vegetables, and raw seafood.
The atmosphere is very modern but with a rustic Italian look.
The food was superb. The server(Louie) was very funny and did a fantastic job.
A very extensive wine menu is still under construction.I look forward to the wine list being completed.

Food was delightful, however, the management was running around the restaurant table to table because the waitstaff was a bit "slow" perhaps. I enjoyed my waitress, what I did not enjoy was every time I looked up I saw 15 goumbas jumping around like they were on crack! Their wine celler was not even completed to what they offer on the menu. The decor was fabulous, yet, I was very stressed observing the dysfuntional management staff and feeling of negativity surrounding the entire place. I prefer to dine in a relaxed atmosphere.
