Free Public Night

WAS hosts free Public Astronomy Nights every clear Wednesday evening (clear skies only) from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Rolnick Observatory at 182 Bayberry Lane in Westport. Trained volunteers offer guided tours of the night sky through the Society s telescopes. During the summer, near the solstice, we strongly recommend not arriving until it gets dark. Visitors may view the Moon, planets, stars, nebula and galaxies through the massive and recently upgraded 25 inch Obsession Dobsonian the largest telescope available for public use in the state of Connecticut or through WAS s 12 _ inch Newtonian housed under the observatory dome.
