This is the place everyone in Little Saigon goes to for a late-night Vietnamese food fix. Don’t be surprised to find a line outside the door on a weekend night. The waiters may be gruff, but the food is worth it. Best of all, the dishes run just $5-$7 each. Try the Bo Luc Lac (tender chunks of stir-fried beef served over rice), Chao Ca (catfish rice porridge) and the Pho Ap Chao (sautéed shrimp, calamari and veggies served over crispy fried noodles). I used to go to Thanh My all the time because it's open late - which is great for people who are night owls and get a late night appetite. I continuously went there until I caught one of the servers picking his nose while hovering over a bed of produce. I pretty much lost my appetite and haven't returned since. But admittedly, their imperial rolls were very good.
