Nile is a hardcore death metal band whose inspiration for their music style and lyrics comes from their fascination with Ancient Egyptian mythological influences. singer and guitarist Karl Sanders, who founded the group in 1993, writes the majority of the bands music. He also writes songs that have been inspired by the science fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft.
