Yossi Klein Halevi "Between Left and Right: The Emergence of a Centrist Majority in Israel"
Most Israelis agree with the left that the occupation is a disaster and agree with the right that the Palestinian National movement has no intention of making genuine peace. The result of the four-decade Israeli domestic debate is that most Israelis now see a Palestinian state as both an existential need and an existential threat. We will discuss the evolution of the new centrist majority and what defines a centrist position on solving the conflict.
