Raptor Identification Workshop

Fri. - Sun., January 25-27. A comprehensive workshop on raptor identification will be presented at the Valley Nature Center (VNC). The instructor for the course will be Bill Clark, Valley resident and coauthor of Hawks, the raptor field guide in the Peterson series, and the Photographic Guide to North American Raptors. The workshop will start with two hours of classroom instruction on Friday evening, starting at 7 PM. Saturday and Sunday mornings start with another two hours of lecture, then the rest of the day in the field, with a break for lunch. We will be going to prime raptor locations. Bill Clark has over 40 years of experience working with birds of prey and has published on a variety of raptor subjects, including many papers on raptor identification. Classes will be held at the Valley Nature Center. A map to the meeting place will be enclosed with workshop confirmation. The cost of the workshop is $150 for the course. This fee should be enclosed with your registration. Enrollment will be limited to 25 participants and may be cancelled if there is insufficient registration by mid-January.
