The Charlie Daniels Band
Formed in 1972, Charlie Daniels Band has been entertaining crowds for more than 40 years. The band scored its first top ten hit with “Uneasy Rider” and has populated radio with such memorable hits as “Long Haired Country Boy,” “In America,” and his signature song, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1979 and single of the year at the Country Music Association Awards.
Like the State of Texas, Charlie Daniels is partly Western and partly Southern. His signature "bullrider" hat and belt buckle, his lifestyle on the Twin Pines Ranch (a boyhood dream come true), his love of horses, cowboy lore and the heroes of championship rodeo, Western movies, and Louis L'Amour novels, identify him as a Westerner....
