"Rebellious" American Artists (1913-1970)
The Armory Show of 1913 exposed Americans to Europe's artistic innovators, including Cezanne and Picasso. Lectures start with representational artists, including Glackens, Bellows and the Ashcan School painters and continue with discussions on the controversial artists who made New York the center of the art world: Rothko, de Kooning, O'Keeffe, Lorky, Rivers and Pollock. Taught by Nancy Frankel-Halbert, Professional Artist, Member, Muse Gallery. Visit www.mainlineschoolnight.org to register.
