Today is Japan's Greenery Day, a national holiday, celebrated as a day to commune with nature and be grateful for its blessings. Japanese gardeners have been choosing from more than 5,600 species, indigenous to their island, for at least a millennium and a half. This walk with Visitor Services Assistant Jim Gorman will feature some of their connoisseur's choices that we also have planted throughout our landscape.
