Smithsonian Exhibit: The Work Of A One-Room School Teacher
The Work Of A One-Room School Teacher
This presentation is part of the local exhibit The Lure of the Land portion of the traveling Smithsonian Exhibit. Ingrid Soraghan, dressed as a teacher in the early 1900's, will describe her typical work day, from her arrival at the cold one-room schoolhouse and firing up the “black monster” through the challenges of teaching pupils of varying grade levels to ending her day at home reviewing her students’ work.
