Monk Holiday Jazz Concert

Jazz fans have a rare opportunity to hear an entire evening of music by iconic bebop pianist Thelonious Monk (1917-1982). It is swinging, humorous, challenging and quirky. Only a genius could put those elements together – and only highly skilled jazz artists can successfully interpret his music.

A group with the acumen to do so is D.C. based quartet Jeff Antoniuk & the Jazz Update. Their Monk programs has wowed audiences in many cities. They'll play gems such as “Boo Boo’s Birthday,” “Straight,… Show more No Chaser,” "Four In One," Misterioso," "Monk's Dream" and much more!

Led by Canadian saxophonist Jeff Antoniuk, the Jazz Update features bassist Tom Baldwin, pianist Wade Beach and drummer Tony Martucci.
Ron Netsky of Rochester City Newspaper says the quartet has “a creative spark that never lets up.”
