The venue was great. The orchestra was superb. Van garbled his way through the whole concert. I consider Van Morrison to be one of the most brilliant lyricists of our time, but if you can't understand what he's singing, that point is mute. The funny part is you could understand him perfectly when he sang other people's songs. My second time seeing Van and from now on I will be sticking to his CD's. He doesn't connect with his audience and he just isn't a showman. Sorry, Van, I love you, but I don't think you love your audience.

Van Morrison Detroit,MI.

With all due respect I've got to say I was disapointed with the show. 1 1/2 hour show. This was my first time seeing Van. Never again.

With such a treasure of music in his history, little of that was heard during our show. Guess you can only sing the same songs so many times.

To be fair the show was entertaing but no more than some local talent we've seen here in Detroit.

One of the top ten concerts I have attended

We saw Van at Nob Hill Auditorium

His daughter's band started the night going and it was great.

Then Van the Man came on. He started slow after a 100 min set brought the house down.

Very enjoyable concert from a group of master musicians

Van Morrison, Reno, NV

We knew we were in for it at the Van Morrison concert when he launched into his first song and it sounded more like Fred Flintstone's "Yabba Dabba Doo" than anything Morrison has ever recorded. Between un-intelligible singing, Van Morrison humiliating his band and singers, and a complete disdain for people who spent hundreds to see him, it was basically one of the worst shows I ever saw. Our party of eight didn't even bother standing up and asking for an encore, because quite frankly, we were glad he was gone. Van Morrison was a very talented musician at one time, it's too bad that he clearly believes he's better than the regular folk he claims to embrace in his music.

Brown Eyed Girl has been a favorite since I can remember

And I didn't realize the breadth of Van Morrison's mastery of music until I was much older and caught Gloria and Have I Told You Lately
