JD Lawrence presents The Clean Up Woman

We've all seen our share of stage plays, I'm sure. The Clean Up Woman was by far the worse I've ever seen. First, JD Lawrence plays too many characters (and let's you know it's he behind the makeup), goes off script too many times, and talks directly to audience members as though it's a comedy act. Secondly, the story line was as old as dirt and about as interesting. Thirdly, Telma Hopkins and Jackee Harry were excellent, but neither had roles large enough for their individual star power. Christopher Williams has an amazing singing voice and he was allowed to use it which was a saving grace to this dismal crap. In short, I beg Mr. Lawrence to stop this travesty now and not make a CUW 2, and for God's sake don't bore us to death with a movie. Somebody tell me how do I apply for a refund?

My fiance and myself went to the show in Memphis on this past Saturday....all I can say is OMG! I advise everyone to go out to see it. Cudos to JD Lawrence and the crew. You had some awesome cast members. I love me some Christopher Williams!!! The man is just gifted, blessed, and fine! Telma and Jackee are some great actresses, and the ex Temp singer still got it!. JD, you were so funny! The other members were awesome as well, but never seem them before. Everyone was great. JD...I think it was cool, and smart playing a lot of your roles. Work, that budget hunee!!! I hope you guys come to Memphis, TN again. I took a nice picture, but my hunee said I had to pay for my own picture with Christopher...lol, which was cool. That was cute of him being jealous. I told him that is true a good looking man, but I have the real thang! We both song I'm dreaming on the way to dinner afterwards....we had a ball! Looking forward to seeing you guys on the movie screen soon! Be Blessed!!!

JDLawrence your play was outstanding. This your best PLAY. OH.....Please continue using your DJ. He was on the MONEY. The Music was GREAT!!!!

THIS SHOW WAS SO GREAT, I CAN NOT WAIT FOR PART2. MAYBE YOU CAN HELP OUT, YOU SEE I LIVE IN THE BRONX & MY CAR HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO MANY TIMES (TIME4ME2MOVE)LOL, WELL EACH TIME THEY STOLE MY CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS CDS AND I'M TRYING TO REPLACE THEM BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT IN ANY STORES OR ONLINE. I NEED "CHANGES" SO BADLY ITS MY FEEL GOOD MUSIC AS WELL AS HIS OTHER CDS.

My husband and I along with some co-workers went to see JD Lawrence's Clean Up Woman at the Merriam and Oh my God. It was not only excellent it was amazing from the songs to the seven characters JD played on stage including a 76 year old white man. It was very funny, witty and well written. Even people around us were saying it was one of the best productions they've seen in years. The performance also had some great Broadway moments and the singing was really good. The cast even came out and signed autographs and took pictures after. There's A New Sheriff In Town and his name is JD Lawrence.
