Timothy Greenfield-Sanders is one of the most exciting photographers working today. His portraits are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the National Portrait Gallery. He is a contributing photographer at Vanity Fair , and his fashion and celebrity images can be seen in magazines worldwide. For his most recent project, Greenfield-Sanders has joined forces with public radio host and former New York Times critic Elvis Mitchell to interview, film, and photograph prominent African Americans of various professions, disciplines, and backgrounds, including Chris Rock, Vernon Jordan, Lou Gossett Jr., Thelma Golden, and Toni Morrison, to name a few. The Black List Project includes a film (which premiered at Sundance this year), a book, and a traveling exhibition. Mr. Greenfield-Sanders presents and discusses his film at the Corcoran; a book sale and reception follow.
