Civil War Scholar Presents "Lincoln at the Movies," Walnut Creek Library, Jan 31

To commemorate the historic Jan. 31, 1865, approval of the 13th Amendment by the U.S. House of Representatives, which abolished slavery, the Walnut Creek Library Foundation will host Saint Mary's College history professor and Civil War scholar Carl Guarneri, who will discuss Steven Spielberg's acclaimed movie "Lincoln" and expand on the film’s story lines, Jan. 31, 7pm, Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N.
