Look, I have been to many concerts and entered the mosh pit numerous times, and never ever seen a security guard cheapshoting the partitions. This Saturday I was at the Gwar concert when I saw a large security guard at the edge of the pit push a at most a 15 year old kid over, as I was helping him up the secutity got at least a two step start to shove me. He hit me hard enough that I then knocked the kid back over and rolled my ankle in the process. I understand the dangerous of entering the pit, and take responsibility for what happened. At the same time there is no reason for that kind of behavior form someone who is there to prevent things from getting out control. I know that hitting people when they are not looking may be all that the security guards have to look forward too, but I am done. I will never again go to a concert at that venue as long as this is the way that their people treat the people who pay money to see a show. Many of my friends are in agreement that we are done at the Mid Town until some things change.
