Within a few hundred feet of the Raymond Rimkus Park there is a hoarders house with tons of garbage with flies, mosquitoes, and various other bugs in the back yard.
Animals live in this backyard with the trash.
As time goes on, officials in charge have stated that their hands are tied. As an owner in Leon Valley I am worried that this lax attitude in this grave situation.
Health Concerns and Animal Hoarding problems. Officials state that they can not inspect the entire property without good reason. 19 animals were taken off of this property in January 2014.
Now I count some 6 animals plus tons of trash. Such a shame for this to be so close to the park were children are exposed to the elements. Contact Chief Wallis at (210) 684-3215, if you would like to voice your concern for the Health and welfare of individuals that frequent the park area.
