After reading the review from Doc Jedi I was sure there was no way I would risk my hard earned $ there. My friends assured me that any review posted before February was from the old owners. The new owners really did their homework. Lower prices, larger portions, and it's much brighter! We've been twice. The happy hour is just plain great. 2.95 drinks, wine and beer and 2.95 app's nobody is offering that, and the food is really good! So we came back a week later and that's what made me post this review. The server was well informed, pointed out some new additions like scallops and this excellent pina colada shrimp (which I ordered), it was killer! My wife ordered the filet which was very tender, full of flavor and cooked perfect. I asked our server why this place isn't packed, she said a lot of people may still think it's Sam's but once they try it they love it. The decor is unlike any other restaurant, it's like a trip back to vintage Hawaii, it's so cool! We were told by someone sitting in the booth next to us that we really have to try the Sunday Brunch for 26.95 with Champagne and Hawaiian Luau entertainers. I guess that will be our next visit. 5 stars and 2 thumbs way up!
