My husband and I had an evening appointment so we stopped for an early dinner at Ben's. Should have known better by the way we were greeted (rude). We decided to try an early bird. The pickles and cole slaw they start with were wonderful. It went downhill from there. We had the worst hungarian goulash I've had in my life. The sauce was very sweet. The meat was a very poor cut cooked to death and had a few of hidden noodles underneath. The bread was STALE. The matzoh ball soup was I believe, Lipton-cup-soup with one huge matzoh ball. Should have tried a sandwich but wasn't thrilled with the $13.99 prices tag for most.
What a show! Sinbad stayed on stage over 2 hours and kept us laughing non-stop. Not one curse in the whole show, just pure, clean comedy. Afte 2 hours, he was gracious enough to stay in the crowd taking pictures and signing autographs for as long as people were coming up to him. And, he still had another show to do. What a guy!!!
The new Palm Beach Improv is a lot larger than the old one. I think providing more room for bigger acts. The food is the same, not the best. I just wish they had provided more counter seating which seems to be the preferred seating for so many. We had to sit at a table in the back and turn our seats around which was view blocking for others sitting behind us.
