Nicole Kidman has the role of a slightly stressed mom in this odd movie, and she does a good job, too. In fact, everyone did a good job, the effects were good, the story was good, all of it... But that's it, it was GOOD. I think that it was fun to see in theatres, but it might be a bit boring on DVD. Or just wait for it on DVD and don't be expecting a breakthough thriller. It's okay, not bad. I'd never really say it was bad. (^-^);;
And raise what's left of the flag for me!
This band really has an incredibly unique sound... Basically, if you took angry drunken Irish men and smooshed them together with a laid back Simple Plan, you'll get Flogging Molly. They're just... Amazing, really. With twangy banjoes and hard guitars, it's the perfect blend of redneck and punk. ♥
Listen to them and find out... Either way, they might be a bit over played sometimes, but they still manage to keep their own unique sound.~
An Cafe, in itself, is a miracle to the real world. Hearing the music start up, your ears perk up and you feel yourself start to dance, and danceable rock music is hard to come by these days. And then... Then Miku's voice kicks in. Not, I'm in LOVE with this band, it's easily one of my total favorite groups ever, but Miku's voice is very acquired taste. He has quite a nasely, high pitched voice and is not afraid to cross any lines whatsoever from what we would call... "Normal." They're not too hard, not too synthesized, but certainly most of all, they're a LOAD of fun to listen to! I definately reccomend them to anyone that's not afraid to step out of the ordinary. (^-^)
Dir en Grey, one of the most well known Japanese bands worldwide, broke through the language barrier in early 2005 for many Americans during the Family Values Tour. Their straight-edge hard sounds can rattle your brains out, but they're not mindlessly fast or easily beaten down. The sound that Kyo and Kaoru generally try to put in their albums ar ebasically Kyo's best recreation of an angry wild hog in the Arctic Sea. Hard core but still somewhat laid back, Dir en Grey has got to be my all time favorite band and a must hear for any hard rock fans out there.
