As CEO of the Girl Scout Council of Southern Arizona, Debbie Rich has been responsible since 2009 for the development and growth of more than 14,000 girls and more than 2,500 adult volunteers in Pima, Cochise, Greenlee, Yuma and Santa Cruz counties, and southern parts of Graham, Maricopa and Pinal counties helping to enrich their lives by building their courage, confidence and character.

Women, far more often than men, shoulder the responsibility as single head of household with children and by equipping girls with courage, confidence, and character we give them the attributes needed to be tomorrow’s best parents, workers and citizens.
During her tenure she has worked with the community to create a social service delivery model which engages college women in delivering the Girl Scout program to underserved girls living in challenged communities; redesigned the Council’s fund development model, secured capital gifts for improvements of Girl Scout properties, and grown the membership across Southern Arizona.
Rich also has helped create The Partnership for Women and Girls, a collaboration with Emerge! and the Ywca to support local leadership training for girls and women.
Widely recognized and highly regarded, Debbie dedicates her boundless energy and steadfast support to the Tucson community both in her professional career and her numerous volunteer efforts.
In her prior service to the community, Debbie founded the Reading Seed program, was the Development Director at the Volunteer Center, Associate Director of Tu Nidito and was a PR and Marketing Executive for Carondelet Health Network. Debbie is also an active community member serving on the Boards of Volunteer Southern Arizona, Honor Flight and is a member of Women at the Top as well as American Association of University Women.
In 2013, Debbie was names as one of Inside Tucson Business’s Women of Influence. Debbie Received Congressional Recognition for her recipient of the Tucson Advertising Federation’s Phyllis Ehlinger Women of Excellence Award in 2014.
