Sunday, Mar 2 1:30p

Due to it’s strategic location, Troy men and businesses were instrumental in the prosecution of the war. They took the first British flag captured during the war. Captain John Ellis Wool began his 52-year military career as one leader of the failed invasion of Canada. Local businessmen provided weaponry, equipment, clothing and foodstuffs and the use of “Uncle Sam” as a depiction of our nation has its origin here in the City. Come learn more about this important time in our city’s history.
