Caleb Klauder & Sammy Lind

These two talented string players (and good friends) from The Foghorn Stringband team up to bring their stripped-down approach to old-time country and early string music of the Southern Appalachians and the Midwest. Together, mandolinist Klauder (also known for tenure in Calobo and his wonderful solo work in country rock) and renowned fiddler Lind rely on just their instruments and the rich blend of their unadorned voices to create a sound that could've easily found a place on "those big console radios in the living rooms of the 1950's." As in their full band, the two make authentic old-time music come alive for modern audiences and while "they are not strict recreationists in costume ... neither are they experimentalists of the digitial age."
