If you think winter is long and cold, just imagine what it was like living in an ice age! Sheets of ice covered much of the world and temperatures were freezing. You might think that nothing could survive that type of climate, but that just is not true. During this week we will explore the ice age while learning about some of the predator and prey animals that lived during that time; compare them to animals living today and to those seen in the movies! Children are divided into groups of similar ages. A health form and information packet will be sent upon registration for those who did not attend the summer 2012 Moose Hill Camp.Dress or pack for the weather since we go out every day! When there is snow we play, build and slide without sleds. Bring a snack, water, lunch and both indoor and outdoor footwear. Preschoolers should bring a small blanket to rest on as well as a quiet toy. Preschool themes are modified versions of what is described. Preschoolers are expected to be self-sufficient in the bathroom and will have a lie-down rest time.Extended Day Options: Participants enjoy indoor games, reading and outdoor play supervised by counselors. Pick up and drop-off may occur at any time during the extened period. Doors open at 7:20am.
