Southern Naturalists: Audubon in Context exhibition

The American South long represented a living cabinet of curiosities to scientists both at home and abroad; naturalists, botanists, and artists documented the myriad species of plant, animal, and insect of the sweltering South. The exhibition comes to from the Rare Books & Special Collections - University of South Carolina Libraries, featuring works from William Bartram, Alexander Wilson, André Michaux, John James Audubon, and a rare Catesby folio.
