As northern Palm Beach Countys oldest and largest visual arts museum, the Lighthouse ArtCenter is a two-building operation featuring a stand-alone School of Art with classes for children and adults, beginner through professional levels; a popular summer camp for kids ages 4-16; and diverse and educational exhibits. Programs also include a Profile Guest Lecture Series; the Jazz Series; an art supplies and gift store; and the recent addition of ArtBridge Outreach, which provides educational art experiences for underserved populations and communities.Founded by Christopher Norton in 1963 (son of Ralph L. Norton), the Lighthouse Center for the Arts is a Tequesta-based operation and exhibition gallery dedicated to educating and developing an appreciation of and interest in the arts for all ages. The Center offers a diverse schedule of exhibitions through the year, regular seminars and classes, and many special events for all ages and interests.
