Marquee Theatre

730 N. Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ, 85281
(480) 829-0707 - Website

Standing room venue with good stage and sound for shows up to 1,000. Easy access from Loop 202.

Formerly known as the Red River Music Hall, this intimate venue features a 45-foot stage and stadium seating. Built in 1993, the theatre is located near the bridge on busy Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe. For a decade the music hall catered to country and jazz musicians, hosting a few artists each month. Much of the theater's original charm remains, including its plush decor and Southwestern design. Chairs are removable for standing-room rock concerts and guest dancing. A small concession stand offers beer, wine and non-alcoholic refreshments during intermission and prior to most performances. The major change in the new Marquee Theater is the concert schedule and guest appearances. Popular groups like George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and Everclear have replaced country stars and unknowns. -- Wynter Holden
