About the Film: The Go-Go Boys
The Go-Go Boys is a brand new documentary about two Israeli-born cousins, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus, who, in the 1970s left Israel as young Israeli film-makers to try and replicate their modest Israeli success in Hollywood. Against the odds they pulled it off, and created the Cannon Films studio, producing over 300 films and becoming the most powerful independent film company in the world.
With testimonials from Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Charles Bronson- all former stars from their films, The Go-Go Boys examines the rise and fall of their phenomenal success. You never knew that some of your favorite action films, including Delta Force, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Superman IV, and Bloodsport, were actually made by a couple of Israelis stretching their budgets far beyond the norm. This story epitomizes the definition of Israeli chutzpa.

The Tel Aviv Arts Council celebrates the creative culture of Israel by providing a venue for young professional creatives and lovers of the arts to gather while attending lectures and demonstrations by world class artists, performers, and technologists.
The common theme in our events is a playful exploration of the world around us and the search for something unique that expands our vistas and leaves one with a sense of wonder. All of our private events are non-profit, but professionally produced to provide attendees with a comfortable environment to engage with the arts community, and take place in various venues throughout our great city.
