An Overview of the Modern Human Rights Movement
This five-part course, open to all but specifically developed to serve school teachers seeking continuing education, will cover:
Introduction: The Awakening to Humanity (16th-19th Centuries; Modern Human Rights Movement and Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Holocaust and U.N. Genocide Convention; Current Philosophical Debates; Conclusion: Humanitarian Intervention and Its Limits
This course will be taught by university professors Dr. Joseph Chuman and Dr. Dennis B. Klein.
