Room of Voices is a two-piece composed of Mingo Lewis and Karissa Gallo.
-Mingo Lewis (drums / vocals / percussion) is one of the top hand percussionists and drummers in the world today. A music composer for film, as well as a musician in the world of jazz, world, funk, rock, afro-Cuban, and fusion music. Mingo has been featured on many gold and platinum albums over the years, with artists such as Santana, Brian Eno, David Byrne, Billy Joel, XTC, Aretha Franklin, Houssain Kili and others. Live performances include Chick Corea, The Tubes, James Brown, Miles Davis, Al Di Meola, Jeff Beck, etc.
-Karissa Gallo (keyboards / electronic percussion / vocals) A.K.A "Sound Sapien" has been playing music for most of her life and has studied jazz and world music. She has her own voice in music, and sound design, able to change directions musically from jazz to hip-hop and beyond; what Karissa brings to the band is a sound morphing journey into the world of ethno-electronica.
Roy Johns is the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the critically acclaimed performance troupe The Mums and producer of the world acclaimed 4 year run of the Magic Castle Halloween show -- Phantasmagoria. He travels with his Cavalcade of Wonders including jugglers, stilt-walkers, conjurers, gymnasts, ghastly atmosphere and it would not be out of the ordinary to expect razor eaters and whip-wielding-women performing feats of prestidigitation in this variety arts extravaganza!
