Evanescence filled a niche few knew existed upon their arrival in 2003: the need for operatic goth-pop, soul-baring introspection paired with churning metallic guitars. Singer/pianist Amy Lee cut such a figure fronting the group that it was easy to not think of Evanescence as a band, but rather a support group for her songs....

Melodic hard rockers Shinedown hail from Jacksonville, Florida and originally featured vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist Jasin Todd, bassist Brad Stewart, and drummer Barry Kerch. Snapped up by Atlantic Records during the early-2000s flurry of post-Creed and Nickelback signings, the group released its debut album, Leave a Whisper, in 2003....

The Way of the Fist is the best metal record in years.

This album is brillant. One of the best in years. I had the pleasure of meeting the lead singer, Ivan Moody and his bandmates after their set in PA at the Family Values Tour this past summer (Aug 07'). Ivan was very kind and gracious. All the guys are all great. These guys blow away most of the metal bands putting out records today. Lyrically, musically...brilliant.

WOW!

I went to see Evanescence at the San Jose Event Center and I was blown away. Literally. Amy Lee has some powerful vocal chords there. And her back up of the rest of the band is solid. All together they have really good chemistry. I only give this a 4 star because they could've picked a better place to hold a concert. Like Shoreline, HP Pavilion or anywhere else. San Jose State Event Center is just not user friendly and its accoustics suck which dimishes the fact of how great this band really is.

Vampires, werewolves, and ghosts... oh, my!

Amy Lee's lungs power one of the most recognizable voices in modern music, and the songwriting behind her puts it to good use. Powerful and creative, this rock act isn't all flash, but it is damn flashy.
