Chasing and Repoussé
Chasing and repoussé is the art of making relief designs in sheet metal using small punches. Repoussé refers to using the tools on the back of the sheet, and chasing refers to using the tools on the front. Used together, chasing and repoussé can create wonderfully detailed art pieces. In this class you can make a decorative tile, plaque, pendant, or other ornamental item. Bring an image of your choice or use one of ours, and learn to coax wonderfully complex dimension out of sheet metal.
