Click! Exhibit showcases Washington State Attracted Settlers in Early 1900s Through Poignant Promotional Photographs

Friday, Mar 8, 2013 10:00a

In Click! over 40 images from the Historical Society’s vast photographic holdings tell the story of how Washington was represented, packaged, and sold to outsiders. The exhibit includes photography equipment as well, such as Asahel Curtis’s view camera and some of his glass plate negatives. Photographers represented include Edward Curtis, Asahel Curtis, Darius Kinsey, Samuel Morse, and Virna Haffer. Exhibit-goers will come away with an introduction to the photographic history of Washington.
