Tacoma Philharmonic presents: Edgar Meyer - Master of the Double Bass

Three-time Grammy Award winner Edgar Meyer has won acclaim both for his music and for live performances with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to Garth Brooks, James Taylor, and Yo-Yo Ma. In this solo recital, you’ll hear classical music in Act I and contemporary with bluegrass in Act II. Meyer has performed with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Boston Symphony. Meyer is “the most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively un-chronicled history of his instrument" (The New Yorker).
