Members of the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community will be among those sharing their personal stories in this Whatcom READS! panel presentation, including Kay Sakai Nakao, who was married in the Minidoka camp; Lilly Kitamoto Kodama, who will share her experiences as a child behind barbed wire; Mary Woodward, daughter of Walt and Milly Woodward, publishers of the Bainbridge Review newspaper; &Clarence Moriwaki, will discuss background on the incarceration of Canadian Japanese in WWII.
