Landmarks of the Urban Prairie: Photographs by M. Tinnin Portwood
As a boy, award-winning photographer Tinnin experimented with emulsion photography and dark room techniques. It wasn’t until he needed to shoot location scouting photographs that his skills flourished. He began his career as a screenwriter and after winning numerous accolades his interest turned to other aspects of filmmaking. He studied filmmaking at UCLA, NYU, SVA and MMW.
