Enjoy the HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL – A Timeless Tradition of Old Ste. Genevieve

Come join us for the 28th annual Ste. Genevieve Holiday Christmas Festival on Saturday December 1st and Sunday December 2nd. The festivities begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. with a giant parade featuring a host of local and regional dignitaries including the French Marines and other local militia, bands, floats, Shriners, classic cars, musicians, beauty queens, horses, Santa and more.

Event highlights include free… Show more performances by local and regional musicians including Southern Illinois University, Lindenwood University and Southeast Missouri University, covering 700 years of Christmas-themed music. Performances include Gregorian chant, string quartet, classical guitarist, jazz trio, harpist, flutist, violins, wind ensemble, bell choir, choral concert, bluegrass, country western, gospel, acoustic guitar, blue grass banjo, alternative music, French carolers, and more.

What better time to tour the picturesque French Colonial town of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, than during the Christmas season? Founded in 1735, this historic community boasts one of the oldest Christmas celebrations west of the Mississippi. Its historic homes, art galleries and museums made Frommer’s rate it as the ninth “coolest” place in the U.S. And you can find all this only an hour south of St. Louis!
