Gearing Up the Organic Herb Garden

This workshop begins in the barn with a PowerPoint presentation on composting, building soil, weed and pest control, planting herbs and vegetables without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Plant seeds, tour the gardens, and dig selected plants to take home for your own garden. Dress to garden, bring a shovel, bags, and boxes to take home plants you dig. A handout of recipes, techniques, and medicinal properties of herbs is included. Enjoy herbal treats and tea.
